With 16 pies on the menu — and a changing roster of specials — your biggest challenge of the day may just well be which one to choose. Inhale your pie in-store and load up on as much tomato sauce as you desire, or get them to go and enjoy them down at Rennies Beach. The drinks offer an impressive selection of local brews, and Australian and European wines — and for the designated driver, a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails that actually feel like a drink. There’s also a charming communal dining space-meets-pool lounge, which looks out to The Isla’s beautifully lit pool. Of course, if you can swing a suite, you might want to do that instead — as the Grande suite comes with its own private plunge pool. Luxury at a motel? Turns out it can be done. Make sure to enjoy the food and wine pairing in the restaurant, to sample the very best of Cupitt’s wines, or else opt for a wine and cheese tasting to luxuriate in the estate’s signature products. Before you leave, be sure to check out the venue’s cellar door too — it’s one of the oldest buildings in use in the region, having been built in 1851 and then restored once Cupitt’s Estate was established at its present site.
